10+2 with 60% in PCM aggregate.
Not born earlier than 02 Aug 89.
Or,
50% marks in final
year BSc with Physics in any of the years of BSc. Not born earlier than 02 Aug
87.
Or,
50% marks in final
year of BE or BTech degree. Not born earlier than 02
Aug 85.
And,
50% marks in English either in 10th or 12th or at graduation level
(b) Physical and medical fitness as per DG shipping standards for sea service
(c) Minimum eye sight 6/6 with normal colour & night vision.
5. Selection Procedure
(a) Eligible candidates to send resume to TORM by email hr.india@torm.com with a copy to cadet@namacindia.com . Short listed
applicants required to appear for tests and interviews conducted by TORM at
Mumbai.
(b) All eligible candidates including those selected by TORM/other shipping companies are also required to appear and pass in IMU Entrance examination as per schedule given below. Prospectus / application form can be downloaded from IMU website www.nipm.tn.nic.in

submission of Applications : 29 May 2009
(iii) Entrance Test will be held on 14 June 2009 (Sunday) 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
(c) 50% of seats are reserved for children of naval serving & retired personnel & serving coast guard personnel. Photocopy of filled IMU application to reach Director, Naval Maritime Academy, RC Church, Colaba, Mumbai – 400 005, by 30 May 09.
(d) Total fees for 05 semesters will be Rs. 3,00,000/- (rupees three lacs only) inclusive of boarding, lodging, uniforms, text books, training programme and examination fees.
