  12. NAMAC online booking system is currently available only for courses conducted at NAMAC. ONLY INDIAN CITIZENS can undergo the courses at NAMAC. Individuals with dual nationality can undergo the course provided they have a valid Indian Passport at the time of undergoing the course. Course fees will not be refunded to an individual if at any time, prior to or during the period of the course, it is found that this individual is not an Indian citizen or this individual has dual citizenship but does not possess a valid Indian Passport.
  13. Prior to booking one has to register with the NAMAC site and a candidate unique ID number will be provided with a onetime password to his email id. The individual may change the password and subsequently re-login to commence booking facility.
  14. Only an Individual can book online for one or multiple numbers of courses per session. Company booking, group booking are to contact NAMAC through email onlinebookings@namacindia.com for booking.
  15. Costs of the courses are governed by market forces and are liable to change. Any difference in the cost of the course(s) is to be paid at NAMAC prior to / on commencement of the course.
  16. Once booked online, the system will generate an Electronic receipt and a printable course itinerary receipt will be displayed. The electronic receipt and the printable course itinerary receipt can be viewed / printed from the "My Booking" section of the website and will also be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided by you at the time of booking.
  17. The itinerary receipt(s) is your confirmation of booking course (s).

  18. Payments

    NOTE. Online payment for courses booked from this website will be facilitated in the very near future. Till such time that online payment is facilitated, kindly go to Book Courses on this website for details on booking and payment for courses.

  19. Payment for online bookings can be made through credit cards, debit cards, internet banking (direct debit) as specified below.
    1. Credit Card. Payment for online booking is accepted only in INR, through transactions on any VISA and Mastercard Credit cards, issued only in India. Credit Card payment is subject to authorization from the card issuing bank. You are transacting on a website where the Merchant is based in India. Any fee imposed by Visa / MasterCard will be passed on to the card holders by the card issuing bank. Any additional fee charged by the bank, in addition to your course fees, shall be incorporated in your credit card statement. It is not charged or billed by NAMAC and hence will not be included in the Online Booking.
    2. Debit Card. Payment for online booking is accepted only in INR, through transactions on any VISA and Mastercard Debit cards, issued only in India. An additional convenience fee per transaction, as levied by the banks, would also be collected.     Change Booking of Courses and Refunds

    NOTE. Online changes of bookings and refunds made for courses from this website will be facilitated in the very near future.   20. Once you book your course/s online, you can make use of the "My Booking" section to modify the booking in terms of advancing or postponing the dates of the course/s that you booked or cancelling the booking. The link to the "My Booking" section can be accessed from the homepage of the NAMAC website www.namacindia.com.
  21. Advance / Postpone Course/s. The request to advance / postpone booking/s made online will be processed automatically through the Internet Booking Engine. There will be a fee levied for advance / postpone, which will be indicated at the time of rebooking and prior to payment. The cost difference may be payable for the change, as per the course fees applicable for the rebooked date. All such rebooking fees can be paid through the Mastercard / VISA Credit or Debit cards or via netbanking. Any additional fee/convenience fee charged by the bank, towards such payments, shall be incorporated in your bank statement. It is not charged or billed by NAMAC and hence will not be included in the Online Booking. Once rebooked online, the system will generate an Electronic receipt for the advance / postpone fees paid and a printable rebooked course itinerary receipt will be displayed. The electronic receipt and the printable rebooked course itinerary receipt can be viewed / printed from the "My Booking" section of the website and will also be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided by you at the time of rebooking.
  22. Cancellation. The request for cancellation of a booking/s made online will be processed automatically through the Internet Booking Engine. Cancelling a course/s will be done in accordance with the applicable cancellation rules and will incur a fee which will be indicated at the time of cancellation. Once cancelled online, the system will generate a “cancellation order” and a printable “cancellation order”, showing the amount being refunded, will be displayed. The cancellation order can be viewed / printed from the "My Booking" section of the website and will also be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided by you at the time of cancellation. The refund amount due on cancellation of a course/s online shall only be made through an account payee cheque issued by NAMAC which can be collected by the candidate or a person with a written authorization provided by the candidate. Where a candidate so desires, the account payee cheque can be couriered to the address indicated in the “My Profile” page. Course fees will not be refunded to an individual if at any time, prior to or during the period of the course, it is found that this individual is not an Indian citizen or this individual has dual citizenship but does not possess a valid Indian Passport.

  23. Personal Profile and Registration

  24. NAMAC maintains a record of all candidates undergoing courses at this academy, which is used for verification by the companies and other Government Agencies. This also facilitates candidates to register once and thereafter their information is retrieved as and when it is required by the candidates. This information is also used by NAMAC to re-issue certificates in the event of loss of certificates, updating any changes in particulars of the candidate, etc. To enjoy these benefits and on-line booking systems, you are requested to register and obtain a unique candidate ID number. On registration for the first time, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your email id. Using the OTP, you are requested to log in and change the password prior to proceeding to use the site.
  25. Your unique candidate ID number and password are confidential and should not be revealed to any person to prevent misuse. In order to retain the history of your earlier online bookings, made using your unique ID number and 'password', please access the My Booking tab on the Internet booking engine of the NAMAC website, and login with unique ID number and password.
  26. We request you to access the “My profile” tab (on the My booking page) to update the personal details and related document information, such as passport number, CDC number etc, by using the Add/Edit buttons.

  27. Responsibility

  28. As a user of this website and its online facilities: -
    1. You represent that you are of sufficient legal age to use this service, and you possess the legal right and ability to create binding obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of this service.
    2. You understand that you are financially responsible for all uses of this service by you and those using their login information.
    3. You will supervise all usage of the booking facility under your name or account.
    4. You warrant that all information supplied by you in using the booking facility are true and accurate.
    5. User in his own interest is requested to confirm this information from NAMAC in case of any doubts.

  29. Security Information

  30. To ensure secure online payment and all other transactions of personal data, NAMAC, uses a technology called SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL encrypts all communications between your computer and our server so that the information can only be read and understood by NAMAC server. A closed lock in the bottom left (Netscape) or right (Internet Explorer) corner of your browser window shows a secure connection. For further information, please consult your browsers' security specifications. If your browser is equipped with SSL (i.e. Netscape 4.0 and higher/ Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher), then your transaction will automatically be secured. The common standard in the Internet to signal a secure site is a closed lock at the bottom of the browser. As long as the lock is displayed closed your information is secure and encrypted to avoid abuse. If you click the secure transaction link and still cannot see the closed lock, the reason may be that the window is nested in another frame. To check that you have a secure connection (in Internet Explorer), click the right mouse button and properties, then certificates. Then you will see if the connection is secure or not. Another way (in Netscape) click the right mouse button and 'view frame info' at the bottom of the text you will see Security information.
  31. Your Credit Card details are transmitted to the payment gateway under PCI security guidelines.

  32. Documentation Requirements

  33. The responsibility to ensure the correctness of all documentation such as valid passport, CDC, rests solely with you. NAMAC will not be responsible for any damages arising out of incomplete or improper documentation on your part.
  34. The candidate shall present all documents as required for the course, by laws, regulations, orders, etc. NAMAC reserves the right to withdraw the candidate from a course who has not complied with applicable laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements or whose documents is incomplete, or who does not permit NAMAC to take and retain copies thereof.

  35. Conditions of NAMAC for Undergoing a Course

  36. The conduct of course shall at all times be subject to the Conditions of NAMAC for undergoing the course. The general conditions are as follows:-
    1. A course at NAMAC will be conducted only for candidates who are Indian citizens.
    2. The eligibility criteria specified for each course is to be met by a candidate desiring to undergo the course. To be eligible as a dependent of Serving personnel, the Candidate, if a son, should not be more than 21 years of age and if a daughter, should be unmarried and not more than 25 years of age.
    3. The criteria of medical fitness as applicable to certain courses are required to be met by a candidate desiring to undergo these certain courses.
    4. A candidate is required to sign an indemnity bond prior to the commencement of a course that he desires to undergo at NAMAC.

  37. Reporting for course

  38. Candidate is requested to report to NAMAC, by 0815 hrs, on the date of commencement of the course. To enter the NAMAC premises for attending a course, you must present the course itinerary / rebooking itinerary receipt along with any of the following valid photo identifications:-
    1. Passport
    2. CDC
    3. Photo Pan Card
    4. Election card
    5. Photo Driving License
    6. Central/State government issued photo ID card

  39. Security at NAMAC

  40. Namac is located within a naval establishment and therefore security is a prime concern. To this end, a few security measures have been instituted by the naval authorities and candidates are requested to cooperate to help maintain a secure environment which involves the following:-
    1. Identity check at the gate that could at times involve frisking by the security personnel.
    2. Visual inspection of baggage
    3. Display of ID cards, issued by NAMAC, when within the premises of NAMAC for the duration of the course.

  41. Non-Liability for Delay

  42. NAMAC shall not be liable for damage occasioned by delay in the commencement of the course or cancellation of the course for circumstances beyond the control of the institution or where the number of candidates that have booked / reported for the course are below an acceptable number for the meaningful conduct of the course. NAMAC shall take all reasonable measures necessary to conduct the course on the scheduled day. Dates shown in the receipt, course schedule or elsewhere are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contract of NAMAC and NAMAC assumes no responsibility for overlapping courses.
  43. Modification of Terms

  44. NAMAC reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice or liability. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms and Conditions. Continued use of NAMAC online booking, following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
POSTPONE / ADVANCE / CANCELLATION POLICY WEF 01 JAN 2018

ADVANCE A COURSE: CANDIDATES CAN ADVANCE A BOOKED COURSE TO AN EARLIER DATE PROVIDED VACANCY EXISTS AT RS 200 PER COURSE. ADVANCING IS DONE ONLY ONCE AND THERAFTER, NO MORE CHANGES (CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT) WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

POSTPONEMENT OF A COURSE: CANDIDATE CAN POSTPONE A COURSE, ONLY ONCE, UPTO 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF THAT COURSE, TO A FUTURE DATE (IF AVAILABLE) AT RS 200 PER COURSE. AFTER POSTPONING, NO ADVANCEMENT / CANCELLATION / FURTHER POSTPONEMENT WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

CANCELLATION OF A COURSE: CANCELLING A COURSE WILL ATTRACT THE FOLLOWING PERCENTAGE OF COURSE FEE AS PENALTY: -
MORE THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF COURSE – 10%
MORE THAN 48 HOURS (2 DAYS PRIOR) UP TO 7 DAYS – 20%
MORE THAN 24 HOURS (1 DAY PRIOR) UP TO 48 HOURS (2 DAYS) – 30%
LESS THAN 24 HOURS (1 DAY) – 100%

NO SHOW CANDIDATES: AS PER THE CURRENT DG SHIPPING REGULATIONS, COURSE DETAILS HAVE TO BE UPLOADED ON DGS E-GOVERNANCE WEBSITE BY 0930 HRS. THEREFORE, CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT REPORT FOR THE COURSE ON TIME (0830 HRS) ON THE COURSE COMMENCEMENT DATE WILL BE CONSIDERED AS “NO SHOW CANDIDATES”. BOOKINGS OF “NO SHOW CANDIDATES” WILL RELAPSE AND THEREFORE CANNOT POSTPONE THE COURSE TO A FUTURE DATE. THE BOOKING WILL BE CONSIDERED CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY REFUND.
